With more than 25 years of experience in association management, event strategy, and relationship building, Christy Gandy has built a career connecting people, creating meaningful experiences, and helping organizations grow. In 2026, she became the new owner and President & CEO of Xsite, ushering in an exciting new chapter for one of the Southeast’s premier hosted buyer events for meeting and event professionals.
Before acquiring Xsite, Christy spent more than two decades serving Florida’s maritime industry as Chief Operating Officer of the Florida Ports Council, where she oversaw operations, finance, governance, sponsorship development, meetings, conventions, and strategic initiatives. Throughout her career, she has planned hundreds of successful events, cultivated lasting partnerships, and earned a reputation for exceptional organization, innovative thinking, and delivering results.
As the new owner of Xsite, Christy’s vision is to expand the brand beyond its successful Florida roots while preserving the personal connections and hosted buyer experience that have made Xsite a trusted event for meeting planners and hospitality partners alike. Her goal is simple: create highly productive, relationship-driven events where qualified planners and suppliers make meaningful connections that lead to lasting business.
Christy is also deeply involved in Florida’s association community. She recently served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) and is an active leader with the Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation, where she serves as Secretary and chairs the Endangered Sites Committee.
Known for her energy, creativity, and genuine passion for bringing people together, Christy believes that business is still built on relationships. Whether she’s producing an Xsite event, collaborating with industry partners, or exploring new destinations for future shows, her focus remains the same: creating memorable experiences that deliver measurable value.

Founder
XSITE was conceived by Richard Miseyko, CMP, CMM, President of Site Search, Inc. of St. Petersburg, FL. Richard is an industry veteran with four decades of hotel sales experience, mostly at the director level. He began his career at The New York Hilton at Rockefeller Center in 1979 followed by positions with Hilton in Clearwater Beach, FL, Rye Brook, NY, and Baltimore, MD. He also held director position with Saddlebrook Resort Tampa, The Don CeSar on St. Petersburg Beach, FL, and Safety Harbor Resort & Spa in Clearwater, FL.
In 1998 he formed Site Search, Inc., a third party site selection company, and now represents over 35 clients securing contracts in excess of $6 million dollars annually.
While an hotelier, he actively sold to all market segments and attended hundreds of industry events and tradeshows. However, he saw the need for a different format to conduct business. Traditional tradeshows were expensive and no longer effective in producing business and, as a result, XSITE was created.
The inaugural XSITE was held February 2013 in Tallahassee, FL. It provided face to face appointments between qualified meeting planners and Florida’s top hotels, resorts, CVB’s and industry suppliers and CEU educational sessions with top industry leaders discussing the latest in trends and technology within the meeting industry.
